I had completely forgotten about how wonderful they can be! Real fluffy homemade ones that is - not pucks. I remember when I was a teen and first starting to learn to cook from a recipe book, my sister bought me one of the Company's Coming muffin books and I used to always make biscuits from that. Then I let it drop. So it had been well over 15 years since I made biscuits from scratch. Now in the past two weeks I have made at least three batches of biscuits to have with the various soups and stews I have made, and taken the leftovers for lunch or breakfast at work. How could I forget such a basic and wonderful thing?
