My mom cooked a lot on our boat and would often bring ready-made meals (chili, pasta --already mixed noodles/sauce-- hearty soups, etc) and just reheat them over the stove. She also would do beans/weiners... gosh, we spent EVERY summer week end out on the water and I can't even remember half the stuff she cooked... which is horrid of me, since it certainly took her hours of planning and prep!
