"Doing a quick inventory from time to time brings potential problems into focus," says Dr. Jan Christilaw, head of specialized women's health at BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre in Vancouver. A study by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, for example, found that women who periodically surveyed their health habits ended up munching on more fruit and vegetables and boosting their strength and flexibility.
