Drastically changing hair colour
As my Facebook friends can attest to, I go from extreme to extreme with my hair colour and it's pretty long. Right now I'm working my way back to platinum and medium ash blond from a level 3 brown (same level as jet black) with some lighter highlights. We're slowly stripping the dark brown every couple of months or so and gradually going lighter on the previous highlights. There's been little breakage. I should be back to my childhood blond by the summer. It will have taken about 8 months. 2 years ago I went from 3 different shades of blonde to jet black with some chunky highlights. Your colourist can use semi and demi permanents to fill the hair shaft without hurting it as much as you move through the colour scale which keeps it from going those horrible orange or green hues LOL.
